Connecting a mailbox is optional, read-only, and something you switch on yourself, from the board it affects. JobPilot looks for messages that relate to applications it already knows about, works out what each one means, and moves the card.
It never sends mail as you, never touches a conversation that isn't about a job you applied to, and you can disconnect it in one click — which revokes the access outright rather than just hiding the feature.
What you get out of it
A straight answer on what's working
Once the board is accurate without you maintaining it, it can tell you things a spreadsheet never could: how often you actually hear back, how long employers take, and which version of your resume is getting replies.
That last one is the useful one. Most people never find out which of their resumes was the good one.
